Redfunnel Easter Challenge

Manches Cup Regatta (Law)

The Manches Cup 2006 will be the 16th staging of the event and promises to be the largest and most spectacular to date. As the main social, sporting and networking event for lawyers, the Manches Cup has established itself as one of the largest regattas in the country. The Manches Cup is open to competitors of all levels of experience, from the complete novice to the expert yachtsman. Entry is open to crews from law firms, in-house counsel, barristers' chambers and suppliers to the legal community.

Volvo Ocean Race

Portsmouth is welcoming the Volvo Ocean race fleet in May, with the leaders due to arrive on the 19th May. There will be an import race on the 29th May with the main race restarting and departing Portsmouth on 2nd June.

Lutine Lineslip Regatta (Insurance)

In June 2006, teams from the insurance industry will come together for the 6th staging of the Lutine Lineslip Regatta. More than twenty teams are expected to participate in the regatta. Companies involved in the insurance industry, be they insurers, brokers, reinsurers or professional advisers, will find participation in the Lutine Lineslip Regatta a valuable way to raise its profile, network within the industry and entertain clients, potential clients and staff. The Lutine Lineslip Regatta has been established since 1999 and is the most prestigious sailing and social event for the insurance community.

Skandia Cowes Week

Skandia Cowes Week is one of the most famous sailing regattas in the world. The event attracts crews of all ages and abilities and the Solent is a great testing ground for their sailing skills: with over 1,000 yachts and 8,500 competitors taking part in some very challenging first-class sailing, the Event attracts a wide range of local, national and international entrants, from true amateurs to Olympic and World champions. This week is supported by a busy day and nightlife programme with shops, live entertainment, food, bars and a spectacular fireworks display on the last Friday night. Again this is a must for all sailing enthusiasts.

Beneteau Cup

2007 promises to be another fabulous year for the Bénéteau Cup. Eighty-five Beneteau yachts of all ages and lengths and 500 competitors participate in the Beneteau Cup for three days of racing and partying. It's a great time for families, leisure sailors and competitive yachtsmen alike - there are four divisions to choose from, depending on how seriously you want to race - full-on IRC grand prix, leisurely white sail racing, or a mixture of fun racing and a very entertaining Treasure Hunt. Cowes Powerboat Festival

International power boating returns to Cowes this year with the arrival of race teams from countries all over Europe including Italy, France, Switzerland and Malta to compete in the Cowes Powerboat Festival. There will be eleven races over four days for some of the most popular UK race classes plus the arrival of the Gillette MACH3 NITRO Gel sponsored Powerboat P1 British Grand Prix.

Little Britain Challenge Cup (Construction)

The Silicon Cup 2007 (IT Regatta)

The largest annual sailing event in the IT industry, The Silicon Cup 2007, will take place again in Cowes on 27th & 28th September 2007! Now in its 8th year, the original idea came from four senior people in the IT industry who got together and decided to combine their passion and their profession to raise meaningful amounts of money for charity. The first Silicon Cup was competed in the summer of 2000; last year the event was contested by over 900 people, representing over 300 companies and again raised over £50,000 for our nominated charities.

The Fastnet 2007

The Rolex Fastnet Race is considered one of the world's classic ocean races, the 608-mile course a test for skippers and crews with its tricky tidal currents and changeable weather conditions. The race attracts over 250 yachts and tests even the very best skippers and crews. The 608nm course starts from Cowes, heads to the Irish Sea round the Fastnet Rock, finishing in Plymouth.
